The Calgary Dragon Boat Race & Festival is geared towards creating an unforgettable experience. The dragon boat competition illustrates comradery, teamwork and inspiration.

Stemmed by a 2000-year-old Chinese legend, Dragon Boat Racing is still very active and remains a tradition to this day.

"Dragon Boat Festival" Banquet and
Annual General Meeting (AGM)

This year will mark the 25th anniversary of Dragon Boating in the City of Calgary and the Calgary Dragon Boat Society (CDBS) would like to invite you to celebrate this significant milestone which will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2016 at the Regency Palace Restaurant in the Dragon City Mall.

Though the "Dragon Boat Festival" originated from China +2000 years ago, the CDBS will commemorate 2016 with a specially designed sports wear, only available at the Dragon Boat Race & Festival held in Aug 13-14.

Let's celebrate this great tradition!

Paddling Camp

July 23 & 24, 2016

Are you ready for this Calgary Dragon Boat Race & Festival?

It is just around the corner, August 13 & 14, 2016. To help you and your Team prepare, why not participate in the Calgary Dragon Boat Society Paddling Camp being offered the weekend of July 23 & 24 at North Glenmore Park.

Over these 2-days, you will improve upon your individual paddling technical skill, your existing stroke mechanics, and your overall paddling performance. The sessions are designed for you to have some fun and meeting fellow paddlers from the various Dragon Boat Clubs that participate in the Calgary Festival.

The Camp is built on two separate learning paths. Unsure what Camp to sign-up under? Please talk with your current Coach who can talk with a member of the Calgary Dragon Boat Society for further direction. Fees include a certified coach, boat usage, paddles and a PFD. The fee also includes GST.
