Dear Visitor, Merchant or Resident,

 

On Saturday, August 13th between 10:00am to 8:00pm, the Calgary Chinese Merchants Association will host its 11th Annual Chinatown Street Festival, which will be a celebration of the Chinese culture in Calgary through food, dance, song and a street market.  We hope you, your friends and family will join us for this fun-filled event.

 

Streets Closed from 1:00am to 11:00pm

Festival activities will take place on 2nd Avenue SE, 3rd Avenue SE & 1st Street SE as shown on map below. These streets will be closed to traffic during this period because a dozen tents, a stage and other activities will be set up on the streets for the entire day and into the evening.

 

We request that if you must access these streets on August 13th, you do so before 1:00am.  We realize this limited access may be an inconvenience to some, but we hope you'll share our belief that this festival will be a benefit to everyone in Community of Chinatown.

 

Parking Available

Please tell any visitors, delivery people and customers of this restricted access as deliveries are NOT encouraged.  They are encouraged to take the C-Train or to walk to the festival area, or to use the many parking lots available.  See map below.   The best rates for parking is at the James Short Parkade on 4th Ave & Centre Street SW.
