Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre
Daqing Square

12:00pm - Opening Ceremony

Celebrating Canada Day, the Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre presents cultural traditional dragon and lion dances, martial arts demonstrations, musical performances, games, art exhibits and Chinese food.

While visiting Chinese Cultural Centre, in the heart of Chinatown District, don't forget to look up to enjoy the Dr. Henry Fok Cultural Hall. This magnificent 70-foot high ceiling, modeled after the Temple of Heaven in Beijing which was built in 1420.

The Temple of Heaven was used exclusively by the Emperors for communicating with their patron gods, and for praying for a bountiful harvest, is magnificently decorated.
