The Rogers Chinatown Street Festival is Chinatown’s Premiere Summer Multi-Cultural Festival, a combination of Food & Merchant Booth Tents and Entertainment featured on two stages. The event is located in the heart of Chinatown.

It is estimated that over 70,000 people were part of this one day showcase of the Chinatown Community that featured culture, arts, unique shopping and dining experiences. Also a variety of cultural activities, such as fortune telling, Chinese Chess, and even dress up in traditional Chinese Clothing for a photo. New this year was the Climbing Wall, and Street Hockey which was a great success. Chinese Cultural Photo exhibits were also displayed in various venues in around Chinatown.

TESTIMONIAL
"The annual Calgary Chinatown Street Festival is a treasured community event that is eagerly anticipated each year. From the tastes, talents and merchandise of local vendors to the sights and sounds of the days’ activities, this family-friendly festival is a vibrant event that fosters cross-cultural experiences and makes our community stronger.

I commend the Calgary Chinese Merchants Association for promoting the business and development of Calgary’s Chinese community through events such as the Calgary Chinatown Street Festival. Their work is yet another example of how non-profit organizations contribute to building strong Alberta communities."
