MRU Conservatory’s Morningside Music Bridge Program will air on CCTV in this Fall

James Bailey, the Marketing & Communications Consultant of the Conservatory of Mount Royal University in Calgary, released the news on Thursday, July 22, 2010 that the Chinese national broadcaster to create a documentary of Mount Royal University Conservatory’s Morningside Music Bridge program. A camera crew from China Central Television (CCTV) – the national television station of the People’s Republic of China
– will be on campus daily at Mount Royal University until July 31, creating a documentary on the program.
The documentary will focus on students and faculty members of the Morningside Music Bridge program, and will offer a mixture of live musical performance and interview footage. The documentary will air as a series on one of CCTV’s 21 public channels in this Fall. As China’s national television station, CCTV is accessible to over one billion viewers.
Mount Royal Conservatory’s Morningside Music Bridge program has brought together some of the world’s finest young classical musicians and most distinguished educators since 1996. Originally conceived as a partnership between the Mount Royal Conservatory and the Morningside Group, an international investment company based in China, the Morningside Music Bridge has expanded to welcome students from Japan, Taiwan, the
