Come to Support the Fundraiser for the disasters’ victims in the South East Asia

Khin Chew, the English Secretary of the Calgary Tsung Tsin Benevolent Association, on behalf of the Calgary Reaches Out (CRO) said, CRO will hold a fundraising event on Friday, December 4th 2009, 6:30 p.m at the Regency Palace Seafood Restaurant, which is inside the Dragon City Mall in Chinatown.
He stated that the fundraiser is in the form of a banquet type, served with a delicious 10 course Chinese food dinner, entertained with performances.
This dinner fundraiser is organized for the disasters’ victims in the South East Asia few months ago. With the participation and support from various Southeast Asian cultural groups such as the Burundian, Chinese, Filipino, Indonesian, Korean, Malaysian, Myanmar, Singaporean, Thai and Vietnamese. There will also be a silent auction and a cash bar set up for this fundraiser.
He also appealed, “We look forward to your support and donation in various ways such as cash donation (tax receipts will be issued). We are hoping that non-profit organizations and/or associations can make a cash donation of $200.00 per association. As an appreciation of the donation, CRO will provide two complimentary tickets for the
donating organization and/or association to attend the dinner banquet. Individuals or companies who donate $200.00 will also be provided with two complimentary tickets to attend the banquet.”
“Tickets are available individually at $50.00 each, but we would like to encourage companies or corporations to purchase or sponsor a table of 10 at a cost of $500.00. We are also looking for donation of silent auction items.” He said.
