New CAFFA is appealing the Chinese community to support the fundraiser for the Victims of Typhoons in the Philippines

On September 26, 2009, Typhoon Ondoy was badly hit Philippines and brought a month's worth of rainfall to the Metro Manila and nearby areas in just a few hours. It was causing severe flooding which resulted in the loss of many lives, and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people. Eight days later, another typhoon, Pepeng struck the northern regions and caused more damage in the country.

A benefit concert for the victims of the typhoon Ondoy in the Philippines is organized already, it is a showcase of top Calgary Filipino talents, and will to held on Friday, November 13, 2009, from7 pm - 9 pm at the Polish Canadian Cultural Centre at
3015 - 15 Street NE, Calgary. The ticket price is $20.00 per person.

The concert is organized and presented by the New CAFFA - Council & Assembly of Filipino Foundations & Associations (Calgary), to help those unfortunates in their home country, and appealing the Chinese community to support the campaign.
