A photographic exhibition of China and Her Modernization at CCCC

This year on October 1st was the 60th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China; the entire country had lots of celebrations. Overseas, most of the Chinese communities also held different celebrations for this particular event. Celebrations are over now; but the tribute is still going on in the local Chinese community.

The Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre (CCCC) hosts an exhibition, A Kaleidoscope of China: Reflections of the Modern Chinese Lifestyle showcasing a range of photographs that depict Chinese culture and lifestyle in celebration of the special occasion. The exhibition with free admission begins on October 1st until the end of the month.

The public is invited to take a glimpse at a fascinating display of photographs of Chinese people, cultural celebrations, momentous events, famous landmarks and locations within China. The photographs also showcase a kaleidoscope of China’s rich culture, lifestyle and traditions.
The exhibition also provides a pictorial overview of social and political instances that have influenced the modern Chinese lifestyle over the last 30 years and highlights how material conditions and attitudes have undergone tremendous changes, as a result influencing and altering the lifestyle of the Chinese people.
